We want our elite athlete customers to be able to consume our products without worrying about inadvertent contamination with prohibited substances.

So naturally, our products are Informed Sport certified.

Even if you are not an elite athlete, Informed Sport certification would still give you an additional peace of mind - if it's good enough for Olympians, it's good enough for amateur athletes and others who are wanting to ensure their well-being!

What is Informed Sport?

Some of you may not be familiar with Informed Sport.

Informed Sport is the leading global certification and testing program for sports and nutritional supplement brands. Created for elite athletes, it helps prevent unintentional doping by ensuring products they use are free from banned substances. As a result, it is widely recognised by sports organizations, governing bodies, anti-doping agencies, and nutrition industry worldwide. 

Reportedly, up to 10% of supplements are tainted with substances banned in sports. Consequently, many athletes fail doping tests due to the supplements they consume. A study by the Anti-Doping Knowledge Centre found that between 2015 and 2022, contaminated products accounted for 8% of all anti-doping rule violations.

Informed Sport programme tests the supplements etc. to ensure that banned substances are not contained in the product.

How did FuelEX achieve Informed Sport certification?

While it was much cheaper to use another manufacturer, we chose our manufacturer in the UK based on their pre-existing manufacturing certification and many other credentials they have.

Then, one of the MIMEX directors, who is a qualified quality auditor, went to inspect the manufacturing facility to check that their standards are as high as their certifications suggest. Having been satisfied that they have good quality assurance and anti-contamination measures in place, we proceeded to contract with them to manufacture our products.

Once production was completed, three samples from the manufactured batch was sent to Informed Sport's laboratory, and extensive tests were performed to check for the presence of prohibited substances.

After the tests and due formalities were completed, we received our certification!

Is Informed Sport certification expensive to obtain?

It's not cheap, and it adds to the costs. But we wanted to assure our users of the quality of our products and ensure that we offer you the peace of mind you deserve, so we deemed the expense involved to be a fundamental part of producing FuelEX.
